Ear wax is produced by glands situated in the ear canal. Ear wax is a natural and healthy way to protect your ears from dust, and bacterial or fungal infection. Ear wax can be soft or dry, yellow, brown or grey.
Several factors can contribute to a build up of ear wax causing a blocked ear canal: Excessive ear wax production.
Hairy ear canal.
Narrow ear canal.
Wearing hearing aids or ear plugs.
Using cotton buds to clean your ears.
Impacted ear wax can lead to hearing loss, discomfort, tinnitus and dizziness.
Microsuction
Aural microsuction is based on safety, comfort and infection control.
Aural microsuction is a wax removal technique using a microscope loupe for magnification and a bright light to look straight into the ear canal, and a very fine sterile suction device at low pressure to remove the wax.
Aural microsuction is the safest and most common ENT outpatient procedure and therefore considered to be the gold standard.

One ear: £50
Two ears: £75
If there is no wax we charge a simple consultation fee of £25
Home visits: extra charge of £25
